Rather than working its much-needed coffee magic and waking me the f-up, I think coffee is starting to put me to sleep. I know this because it's happened the past two days and, even though I just drank 3 shots of espresso, I am literally falling asleep as I write this.
To be fair, it could be also have something to do with a completely quiet house I so rarely get to enjoy, but (by some very welcome miracle), seems to be happening a lot the past few days. The cleaning is done, the dog has been exercised and the usual source of most of the noise is fast asleep...right next to me. There is nothing more calming than the sight of your sleeping child and that sleeping child is putting me to sleep.
So seriously, coffee, get it together.
My caffeine problems aside, I've decide to jump into the new year with a pretty (super) easy recipe.
Don't let it's simplicity fool you- honey mustard sauce is a completely necessary condiment. I loved it as a kid with chicken nuggets and then seemed to forget about it for a while...until now.
Now this super yummy 5-ingredient sauce is making its way onto everything.
...however, my fav will always be crispy chicken nuggets and french fries dunked in a big bowl of sweet golden honey mustard yumminess.
5 Ingredient Honey Mustard Sauce
Total Time: 5 minutes
Yield: approx. 3/4 cup
Type: Sauce, Dip, Condiment
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon white vinegar
Salt, to taste
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and whisk until combined. Season to taste.
