Weekend Review

This weekend officially marked the start of Fall over in my neck of the woods.  Leggings and sweaters, cozy socks and hot coffee all day long.  Hallelujah!  Legging season is the best- and coziest!   We cooked up a big pot of vegetable soup and relished in the open doors and fresh, crisp air.

The weekend also included lots and lots of swinging for Octavian.  Lucky little man has his very own swing at Grandma's house and we have been trying to take advantage of the evening light while it lasts with bike rides to the park.  That is the only complaint I can make about the cooler seasons- I am a lover of light.

Octavian got to break-in his new big boy carseat.  When did he get so big!?

Octavian has decided purees and spoon feeding is for babies and that he is a big boy now.  While I love his independence, it makes things difficult when all he will eat is cheese and chicken and any attempt to get some veggies in him is a hopeless battle.

We ended our weekend with a little extended family celebration.  I was forced to wear something other than pj shorts or yoga pants and was relieved (and very surprised) to find that my pre-pregnancy pants fit! Thank goodness! I'm not in a position to buy a whole new wardrobe- no matter how temping it may be.

How was your weekend?  And happy national coffee day!!!
