The other morning, I woke up to mr. sunshine above and a scratchy throat, body ache and headache. In my past life, i would have called in sick and settled myself on the couch with a long list of Netflix dramas to nurse me back to health. my friends, those days are no more.
Instead, my day progressed like any other day...
baby in the fridge
breakfast and a very messy baby. don't be fooled, the floor is covered too.
Grocery shopping since my child can't live without greek yogurt. No really, I thank greek yogurt for the lingering rolls on his legs.
more fridge raiding
Ahhh and helping mom do dishes, which is starting to border on dangerous since he goes straight for the knives.
That's not all. Sick days also include deep cleaning the kitchen counters (told ya it was on my to-do list!), laundry, lots and lots of book reading, and chasing this sweet boy around the house on all-fours for 45 minutes just to survive until bedtime.
Thankfully, mr grump decided to turn his frown upside down that had me pretty worried there for a hot minute in the am.
No naps and no tv, but we survived! miracles really do happen.
tip#4 If you're sick, and you have a baby that refuses to sit still (even for tv), try to stay busy. I find that when I'm bored, baby gets bored, too. A bored, fussy baby when you feel in the dumps literally translates to hell.
